Job Description
Join the Sobeys team in Cheticamp as a Night Shift Warehouse Worker! This is an entry-level, full-time opportunity perfect for individuals eager to start a career in logistics and supply chain. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores are stocked with the products our customers love, working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment to retail stores, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Availability to work consistent night shifts and weekends as required.
- Basic comprehension of English for safety instructions and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or physical labor role (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (we will train you!).
