Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Weekend Patient Sitter to join our dedicated team at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. This part-time, low-stress role is crucial for ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients, particularly those requiring constant observation due to safety risks. As a Patient Sitter, you will provide continuous direct observation of assigned patients, reporting any changes in their condition or behavior to the nursing staff. Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous direct observation for assigned patients at all times.
- Maintain a safe environment for the patient, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Report any changes in patient condition, behavior, or expressed needs to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document observations accurately and timely as per hospital policy.
- Assist patients with non-nursing needs such as positioning for comfort or retrieving items.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to sit for extended periods and remain attentive.
