Job Description
UPS is seeking dedicated and reliable Part-time Stockists to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for students or individuals looking for flexible, weekday-only work. As a Stockist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our distribution center, contributing to our commitment to timely and accurate deliveries. We value a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, unpacking, and accurately stocking incoming packages and freight.
- Organizing inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assisting with loading and unloading packages from vehicles.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks (training provided).
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (with assistance if necessary).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (not required, but a plus).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Forklift certification (not required, but a plus).
