Job Description
Join Allied Universal as a Weekend Patrol Officer, serving the New Port Richey local council and contributing to community safety and peace of mind. This part-time role is ideal for individuals seeking stable weekend employment and who are committed to maintaining a visible security presence, deterring crime, and ensuring a safe environment for residents and visitors. You will be a vital part of our team, performing regular patrols, responding to incidents, and providing assistance as needed, all while adhering to established protocols and local regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas within the local council's jurisdiction, including public parks, community centers, and designated residential zones.
- Monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, or other security breaches.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms and distress calls, assessing situations and taking necessary action.
- Report all incidents, suspicious activities, and maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities and supervisory personnel.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, observations, and incidents.
- Enforce local regulations and council policies, providing friendly reminders and guidance to the public as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to residents, visitors, and council staff.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Operate and maintain patrol vehicles and communication equipment efficiently and safely.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security guard license/certification as required by state and local regulations (training assistance may be available).
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Basic computer proficiency for incident reporting.
- Physical ability to patrol on foot and stand for extended periods, and perform duties in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to working weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Knowledge of local ordinances and community safety protocols in Pasco County.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
