Job Description
Are you passionate about wellness and eager to kickstart your career in digital content and SEO? Well.ca is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Wellness Blogger Trainee to join our dynamic content team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for an individual with a strong interest in health, beauty, nutrition, and sustainable living, coupled with a desire to learn the ins and outs of search engine optimization. As a Wellness Blogger Trainee, you will work remotely and gain hands-on experience in content creation, keyword research, on-page SEO, and audience engagement, contributing to our mission of providing valuable wellness resources to Canadians.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and generating ideas for engaging wellness blog content.
- Draft and edit blog posts, articles, and other digital content on various health and wellness topics.
- Conduct basic keyword research to identify SEO opportunities for content.
- Optimize existing and new content for search engines under supervision.
- Learn and apply best practices for content structure, readability, and user experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with overall brand strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends in wellness, digital media, and SEO.
- Participate in content planning meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated passion for health, wellness, nutrition, beauty, or sustainable living.
- Eagerness to learn about SEO principles and content marketing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of online content creation (e.g., personal blog, social media posts).
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Nutrition, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Prior experience with blogging, content writing, or social media management (personal or professional).
- Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of HTML or content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
