Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Records Management Specialist with a focus on Apple systems to support a critical federal agency project. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust records management programs compliant with federal regulations and optimized for Apple environments. You will ensure the integrity, accessibility, and security of vital information, directly contributing to the operational efficiency and compliance of our federal client. This position requires a keen understanding of both records management principles and the unique aspects of Apple hardware and software in an enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement records management policies and procedures in alignment with federal guidelines (e.g., NARA, DoD 5015.2).
  • Manage and maintain records lifecycle within Apple-centric environments, including macOS, iOS, and associated applications.
  • Provide expert guidance on the categorization, retention, and disposition of electronic and physical records.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on records management best practices for federal agency staff.
  • Conduct records audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate records management requirements into system design and data governance strategies for Apple devices.
  • Address and resolve records-related inquiries and issues from agency personnel.
  • Prepare reports and documentation on records management activities and compliance status.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in records management, preferably within a federal government context.
  • Strong understanding of federal records management regulations and standards (e.g., NARA 36 CFR Chapter XII, DoD 5015.2).
  • Expertise in Apple operating systems (macOS, iOS) and their application in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with electronic records management systems (ERMS).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Library Science, Archival Studies, or a related field.
  • Certification in Records Management (e.g., CRM).
  • Experience with specific Apple enterprise solutions or MDM platforms.
  • Prior experience working directly with federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., FISMA, GDPR implications).
