Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in Anaheim, CA. This pivotal role involves identifying vulnerabilities in our systems, applications, and networks through ethical hacking techniques. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive penetration tests, providing detailed reports, and working with development teams to remediate identified issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive penetration tests on network infrastructure, web applications, mobile applications, cloud environments, and internal systems.
  • Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Develop custom tools and scripts to automate testing and analysis.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Generate detailed technical reports and executive summaries for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to implement security best practices and ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, exploits, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in incident response activities as needed, providing expert analysis on security breaches.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our security testing methodologies and processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Acunetix, etc.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and web technologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ruby) for automation and exploit development.
  • Deep knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and network attack vectors.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud security assessments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of secure coding principles and code review methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with red teaming and purple teaming exercises.
