Job Description

Join Coventry City Council as a Community Outreach Aide, focusing on social initiatives to make a tangible difference in our local communities. This role is pivotal in connecting residents with vital services, supporting vulnerable populations, and empowering individuals to participate actively in community life. You will work within various neighbourhoods, engaging directly with residents, community groups, and local stakeholders to identify needs, disseminate information, and facilitate access to resources. Key Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with community members, local groups, and organizations to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Disseminate information about council services, local events, and support programs to a diverse audience.

  • Provide basic advice and signposting to residents seeking assistance with social, welfare, or housing issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of community engagement strategies and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, resident interactions, and service referrals.

  • Identify potential barriers to community participation and propose solutions.
