Job Description
Are you passionate about design, flowers, and creating beautiful spaces? Park House Events is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Event Decorator Assistant to join our vibrant team in Cheltenham. This is a unique entry-level opportunity for an individual eager to learn the art of floral design, table styling, and event setup from experienced professionals. You will play a crucial role in supporting our lead decorators, gaining hands-on experience across a diverse range of events. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead decorators with the preparation and execution of event decor, including floral arrangements, table settings, and venue styling.
- Learn and apply techniques for flower care, preparation, and arrangement.
- Help with inventory management, including packing and unpacking decor items.
- Support the setup and breakdown of events on-site, which may include lifting and moving decorative elements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the studio and at event locations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all decorative elements align with client specifications and event themes.
- Assist with sourcing and preparing materials for various decor projects.
- Contribute creative ideas and solutions to enhance event aesthetics.
Required Skills
- A strong passion for event design, floristry, and aesthetics.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for beauty.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Physical ability to lift and move decor items (up to 20kg) and stand for extended periods.

- A portfolio or examples of personal creative projects (e.g., crafts, photography, drawing).
- Basic knowledge of different flower types and their care.
- Full UK driving license and access to reliable transportation.
