Job Description

Join Webster Bank as a Head Teller Assistant with a direct path into management. This role is designed for ambitious individuals eager to advance their careers in banking. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Teller in overseeing daily branch operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teller staff, ensuring adherence to bank policies and procedures.
  • Handle complex customer transactions and resolve service issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Participate in regular coaching sessions and performance reviews for teller team members.
  • Monitor cash levels, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with all banking regulations.
  • Engage in a structured management training curriculum, including shadowing branch managers and project work.
  • Actively identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a teller or customer service role within a financial institution.
  • Proven cash handling and balancing skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard banking software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a Senior Teller or Assistant Head Teller.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in banking management.
  • Knowledge of Webster Bank's products and services.
