Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shopify Specialist with a keen focus on electronics and gadgets to join our dynamic e-commerce team in Truro. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing, optimising, and expanding our Shopify-powered online store, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for product listings, content updates, store performance, and implementing features specifically tailored to our electronics and gadget categories. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency with Shopify and a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices within the electronics retail sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain product catalogs, ensuring accurate and compelling listings for electronics and gadgets, including detailed specifications, high-quality images, and engaging descriptions.
- Implement and optimise new product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns on the Shopify platform.
- Monitor website performance, identifying and resolving any issues related to functionality, user experience, or product display.
- Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and sales teams to align online store content with business goals.
- Utilise Shopify apps and third-party integrations to enhance store functionality, conversion rates, and customer engagement.
- Conduct A/B testing and analyse data to continuously improve website performance and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, e-commerce trends, and best practices, particularly within the electronics industry.
- Ensure SEO best practices are applied to product pages and content to improve organic search visibility.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams on Shopify functionalities as needed.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and optimising Shopify stores, specifically within retail or e-commerce.
- Proven experience with product management and merchandising, particularly for a wide range of electronics and gadgets.
- Strong understanding of Shopify's architecture, themes, apps, and liquid templating language.
- Proficiency in basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for minor front-end adjustments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with e-commerce analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- A passion for electronics and gadgets, with an understanding of consumer trends in this sector.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify Plus.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) techniques.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, and social media advertising.
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail or consumer electronics environment.
