Job Description
Adventure Nannies is seeking an energetic, experienced, and highly responsible Summer Nanny for a wonderful family located in Davenport, Iowa. This is a rewarding 3-month seasonal contract position, ideal for a professional eager to make a significant impact on children’s summer experiences. You will be responsible for providing engaging, safe, and stimulating care for two children, ages 6 and 9, throughout the summer months. The family values outdoor activities, creative play, and fostering a love for learning, even during holiday breaks. This is a high-pay opportunity for a dedicated individual committed to delivering exceptional childcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging summer activities, including outdoor play, educational games, and creative projects.
- Provide safe and nurturing care for children, ensuring their well-being at all times.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary needs.
- Manage children's schedules, including playdates, appointments, and recreational outings.
- Assist with light household duties related to the children, such as tidying play areas and children's laundry.
- Transport children to and from activities using a provided vehicle or personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding children's activities and progress.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages growth and development.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of professional nannying or childcare experience.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (pediatric preferred).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and execute age-appropriate activities.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Passion for working with children and fostering their development.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience with active and outdoor-oriented children.
- Ability to swim and supervise children in aquatic environments.
- Experience working in a contract or seasonal capacity.
- Knowledge of local Davenport area activities and resources for children.
