Job Description
As a Pinterest Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a Legal Tech focus, you will be at the forefront of protecting our users and platform. This crucial role involves evaluating, processing, and responding to a wide range of legal inquiries (e.g., subpoenas, court orders, data requests) directed at Pinterest. You will leverage cutting-edge legal technology tools and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with global legal standards. You will be a key player in safeguarding user privacy while navigating complex legal landscapes, contributing directly to Pinterest’s mission of inspiring creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate incoming legal inquiries, assessing their validity, scope, and adherence to legal requirements.
- Utilize internal legal tech platforms, databases, and e-discovery tools to efficiently gather, review, and produce relevant data.
- Draft accurate, concise, and timely responses to legal requests, ensuring all communication adheres to company policies and legal guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with legal counsel, privacy teams, trust & safety, and other internal stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and compliant responses.
- Maintain meticulous records, documentation, and case management within internal systems.
- Identify and propose opportunities for process improvement and automation in legal inquiry handling workflows.
- Stay informed about relevant legal and regulatory developments, particularly concerning data privacy, content liability, and electronic discovery.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated familiarity with data privacy principles and relevant laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a high-volume workload effectively.
- Proficiency with modern office software suites (e.g., Google Workspace) and database systems.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and legal developments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as pre-law, criminal justice, information science, or a related discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in a legal support role, compliance, trust & safety, or a similar position, preferably within a tech company.
- Direct experience with legal technology platforms, e-discovery tools, or case management software.
- Understanding of online content platforms, user-generated content issues, and intellectual property.
- Basic project management skills and experience contributing to process optimization initiatives.
