Job Description

Bright Horizons Family Solutions is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Newborn Care Specialist. This is a high-demand role offering paid training to equip you with the specialized skills needed to support families during a critical and joyful time. You will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of infants while offering invaluable guidance and respite to new parents. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, nurturing care for newborns, including feeding, changing, bathing, and soothing.
- Establish healthy sleep routines and patterns appropriate for the infant's age and development.
- Assist parents with newborn care education, including feeding techniques, burping, swaddling, and understanding infant cues.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the infant.
- Monitor and document infant feeding, sleep, and developmental milestones.
- Offer emotional support and practical assistance to new parents.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices in infant care.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding the infant's well-being.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Genuine love for infants and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to varying family dynamics.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with infant care (e.g., babysitting, daycare, family care).
- Certification as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Postpartum Doula.
- Knowledge of infant development stages and common newborn challenges.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
