Job Description
Are you a motivated and energetic 17-year-old looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic warehouse environment? Target is seeking enthusiastic Warehouse Runners to join our Virginia Beach distribution center team. This is a fast-paced, high-demand role perfect for individuals who thrive on movement, organization, and teamwork. You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our operations run smoothly, supporting the flow of goods and preparing orders for our valued customers. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently move products and materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks) or by hand.
- Assist in the accurate sorting, organizing, and stocking of merchandise.
- Support picking and packing teams by retrieving items and ensuring workstations are well-supplied.
- Perform general warehouse duties including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies rigorously.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding tasks and inventory status.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and contribute to a productive work pace.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or warehouse setting (even informal or volunteer work).
