Job Description
As a Member Service Representative at Canvas Credit Union, you will be the first point of contact for our valued members, providing outstanding service and support for their banking needs. This role is crucial in building strong member relationships, processing transactions accurately, and educating members on the products and services that best suit their financial goals. Key Responsibilities
- Greeting members warmly and providing professional assistance with their inquiries.
- Processing a variety of financial transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Identifying member needs and recommending appropriate credit union products and services.
- Resolving member issues and complaints effectively and efficiently, escalating when necessary.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all credit union products, services, and policies.
- Adhering to all compliance and security procedures to protect member information and assets.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve branch goals and enhance member experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn new software.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and balance a till.
- Problem-solving skills and a positive, empathetic attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a financial institution.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with financial software or CRM systems.
