Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company policies.
- Deliver a high volume of packages to residential and commercial customers within designated routes.
- Scan packages accurately upon delivery and pick-up, ensuring proper documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, prioritizing personal and public safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the delivery vehicle.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using GPS devices and navigation tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery, transportation, or a related field (e.g., mail carrier, courier).
- Familiarity with the Allentown, PA area and surrounding regions.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Customer service experience.
