Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and stable Building Maintenance Technician with a strong focus on electrical and HVAC systems to join our team in Doral, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of our facility’s critical infrastructure, ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control panels.
- Conduct diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heating units, ventilation, and refrigeration.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including circuit breakers, wiring, and motor controls.
- Inspect and maintain building systems such as plumbing, minor structural elements, and general facility upkeep.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and relevant building codes.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external contractors as needed for complex repairs or projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in electrical system maintenance and repair.
- Strong background in HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety standards and protocols related to electrical and mechanical work.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification or Associate's degree in Electrical, HVAC, or a related field.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification (Type I, II, III, or Universal).
- Prior experience in a large commercial or industrial facility.
- Basic computer skills for work order systems and record-keeping.
