As a Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring packages are accurately processed and efficiently moved through our facility, contributing directly to our mission of delivering what matters. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort packages, labels, and other freight by destination or other categories.
- Load and unload packages from trailers, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to record movement and update tracking information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Identify and report any damaged packages or operational issues to supervisors.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (without assistance) and perform physical tasks, including bending, twisting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as needed.
