Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and insurance details, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Maintain precise inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Assist pharmacists with medication reconciliation, patient counseling, and clinical services as needed.
- Travel to assigned CVS Health pharmacy locations as scheduled, adapting quickly to new teams and workflows.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with all state and federal regulations.
- Operate pharmacy systems and technology efficiently, troubleshooting minor issues when necessary.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) from PTCB or NHA.
- Current state-specific Pharmacy Technician license/registration (if applicable).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability to travel extensively and adapt to varying work environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple pharmacy management systems (e.g., RxConnect, Cerner, Epic).
- Previous experience in a traveling or float role.
- Advanced certification in specialized pharmacy areas (e.g., sterile compounding, immunization support).
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
