Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and safety-conscious Double Trailer Drivers to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This critical role involves safely operating combination vehicles with two trailers, ensuring timely and secure delivery of freight across designated routes. As a UPS Double Trailer Driver, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency of our vast logistics network, benefiting from competitive hourly rates and attractive safety bonuses. Key Responsibilities
- Operate double trailer combination vehicles safely and efficiently over long distances or specified routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy.
- Secure freight properly within trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, as well as company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and complete all required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations staff, and other team members.
- Perform minor roadside adjustments or maintenance as needed.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to scheduled timelines.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Doubles/Triples endorsement.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably with double trailers.
- Clean driving record (no major violations or accidents).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations for Hours of Service, vehicle inspection, and hazardous materials.
- Excellent spatial awareness and maneuvering skills for large vehicles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing as required.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience driving for a major logistics or freight carrier.
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and other in-cab technology.
- Proven track record of maintaining an exceptional safety record.
