Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Think Tank Aide to join our dynamic research and policy team. This role is essential for supporting our thought leadership initiatives by assisting senior researchers and analysts with data collection, literature reviews, report preparation, and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to impactful projects that inform strategic decision-making and policy development within the aerospace and defense sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough literature reviews and gather relevant data from various sources to support ongoing research projects.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and policy briefs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
- Organize and maintain research databases, documentation, and project files.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events for research teams and external stakeholders.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Contribute to the drafting and editing of research proposals and grant applications.
- Support communication efforts by preparing summaries of findings for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and external partners to achieve project objectives.
Required Skills
- Exceptional research and information gathering abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Previous experience in a research assistant, administrative support, or think tank environment.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python).
- Knowledge of aerospace, defense, or national security policy issues.
- Experience with project management software.
