Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and organized Medical Records Sorter to join our administrative team in Warrington. This is an office-based role critical to the smooth operation of our healthcare services, ensuring that all patient medical records are accurately sorted, filed, and maintained. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your contribution will directly support our medical professionals and enhance patient care through precise record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and file medical records, patient charts, and related documents according to established protocols.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, Caldicott Guidelines).
- Organize records numerically, alphabetically, and by category to ensure easy retrieval.
- Perform regular audits of files to identify and correct any misfiling or discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation and transfer of records as required, ensuring proper documentation.
- Manage incoming and outgoing medical records requests.
- Scan, index, and archive paper documents into digital systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of record management processes.
