Job Description
Join the Canadian Tire team as a Tire Fitter Assistant! This entry-level mechanical role is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in the automotive service industry. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. You will work closely with experienced technicians, learning the fundamentals of tire installation, repair, and maintenance, while also assisting with general shop duties to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians with tire changes, rotations, and balancing.
- Learn and perform basic tire repairs under supervision.
- Mount and dismount tires safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
- Assist with general shop maintenance and inventory tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring vehicles are handled with care and returned in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy tires (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Basic mechanical aptitude or a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid G-class driver’s license
