Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Vocal Coach to join our dynamic team in New Port Richey, FL. This role is ideal for an experienced vocalist with a strong background in vocal instruction across various genres, including rock, pop, R&B, and musical theatre. You will be responsible for providing engaging, personalized vocal lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, preparing them for live performances and fostering a love for music. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a knack for motivating students, and a deep understanding of vocal technique, health, and performance. This is an on-site position within our professional studio environment, with an attractive hourly rate and performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality vocal lessons tailored to individual student needs and goals.
  • Instruct students on proper vocal techniques, breath control, pitch, rhythm, harmony, and performance dynamics.
  • Prepare students for live performances, including selecting repertoire, arranging parts, and conducting rehearsals.
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students, fostering their growth and confidence.
  • Maintain clear communication with students and parents regarding progress and upcoming events.
  • Assist students in developing their stage presence and overcoming performance anxiety.
  • Participate in instructor meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Contribute to a positive and inspiring learning environment within the studio.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in various vocal styles and genres (e.g., rock, pop, R&B, musical theatre).
  • Strong understanding of vocal anatomy, physiology, and health.
  • Excellent pedagogical skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read music and teach music theory basics.
  • Demonstrated performance experience as a vocalist.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Music Education, or a related field.
  • Certification in a recognized vocal pedagogy method.
  • Experience with music production software or recording techniques.
  • Ability to play a basic accompanying instrument (e.g., piano or guitar).
