Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Policy Specialist with a focus on Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) to join our Human Resources team in New Port Richey, FL. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring D&I policies and programs that align with our company values and strategic objectives. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and foster an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of D&I best practices and excellent policy analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and interpret D&I-related laws, regulations, and best practices to inform policy development.
  • Develop, draft, and review comprehensive D&I policies and guidelines in collaboration with legal, HR, and D&I leadership.
  • Assist in the implementation of D&I initiatives, programs, and training modules.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of D&I policies and programs, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on D&I metrics, policy compliance, and program outcomes for leadership.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and management on D&I policy interpretation and related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate D&I principles into all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and thought leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in policy development, analysis, or compliance, with a focus on D&I.
  • Strong understanding of D&I principles, best practices, and relevant legal frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Policy, Law, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (e.g., Cornell D&I Certificate, DEI Professional).
  • Experience working in a large, multinational corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analytics related to D&I.
