Job Description
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Night Security Porter to join our team in Sheffield City Centre. This crucial role involves ensuring the safety and security of our premises, guests, and staff during overnight hours, as well as providing essential porter services. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for detail. While an SIA license is a significant advantage and can lead to top pay, we also encourage applications from individuals with a strong work ethic who are willing to train. This is an on-site position requiring a commitment to overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, including all public areas, back-of-house, and exterior grounds, to ensure security and identify potential hazards.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels, responding promptly and appropriately to any alerts or suspicious activities.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to guests with luggage, parking, and general inquiries during night hours.
- Manage access control for staff, contractors, and deliveries, ensuring all protocols are followed.
- Respond to and report all security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances in accordance with company policy.
- Assist with minor maintenance issues or coordinate with on-call maintenance as required.
- Ensure all doors, windows, and entry points are securely locked and unlocked at appropriate times.
- Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests and staff.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor or Security Guarding License.
- Previous experience in a security, hotel, or customer service role.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
