Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying living areas, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Provide empathetic companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Monitor and accurately document changes in client's physical condition, behavior, or cognitive status, reporting any concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with safe mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
- Ensure client safety and adherence to all care protocols and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy at all times.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the State of California.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to patient care.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in home healthcare or a similar caregiving role (e.g., CNA, personal care assistant).
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Current CPR certification (BLS preferred).
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Tagalog) to serve our diverse client base.
