Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting for McKesson's pharmacy management software systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve software-related issues, system errors, and user queries for our pharmacy clients.
  • Guide users through system functionalities, features, and optimal data entry practices.
  • Accurately document all support interactions, resolutions, and recurring issues in our ticketing system.
  • Collaborate closely with internal development and product teams to escalate and resolve complex software bugs or enhancement requests.
  • Conduct training sessions for pharmacy staff on new software features, updates, or best practices.
  • Stay informed about current pharmacy regulations, industry standards, and software updates to provide informed support.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a robust knowledge base and support documentation.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear client and internal team interaction.
  • Foundational understanding of software troubleshooting methodologies and basic IT concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of database concepts, particularly SQL, is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related technical field.
  • Previous experience (1+ year) in a technical support role, especially within the healthcare or pharmacy industry.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations, terminology, and workflows.
  • Experience utilizing ticketing systems such as Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
