Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Research Specialist to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home two days a week, fostering a balanced and productive environment. As a Research Specialist, you will be instrumental in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to support strategic decision-making across various departments. Your insights will directly contribute to product development, market strategy, and operational efficiency, helping Dell Technologies maintain its competitive edge and innovate for the future. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing specialists, to understand research needs and deliver actionable intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research on industry trends, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Design and implement research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis techniques.
- Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets using statistical software and data visualization tools.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and summaries of research findings for various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify research needs, define project scopes, and ensure research outcomes align with business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of research initiatives, recommending adjustments as necessary.
- Stay abreast of the latest research tools, methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve research processes.
- Present research findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, translating complex data into understandable insights.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in research methodologies and statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS, R, Python for data analysis).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
