Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and technically inclined Electrical Diagram Annotator to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately reviewing, interpreting, and annotating complex electrical diagrams and schematics. Your work will directly support our engineering and maintenance departments, ensuring the integrity and usability of our vast electrical infrastructure documentation. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while contributing to vital energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints for various power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Accurately annotate diagrams with specified data, changes, or additional information using specialized software tools.
- Ensure all annotations comply with internal standards, industry regulations, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to clarify discrepancies and gather necessary information.
- Maintain organized records of annotated diagrams and document control procedures.
- Assist in the development and improvement of annotation guidelines and best practices.
- Perform quality control checks on annotated diagrams to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage multiple annotation projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and priorities.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with CAD software or similar diagramming tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French (asset).
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles or industrial electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
- Previous experience with data annotation, technical documentation, or quality assurance within an electrical or engineering context.
- Experience with document management systems (DMS).
- Knowledge of Hydro-Québec's infrastructure or related utility standards.
