Job Description
The Department of Chemistry at The University of Kansas invites applications for a Chemistry Faculty/Lecturer position with potential for stable tenure. This role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental and university service. We seek a dynamic educator and researcher committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment and making significant contributions to their field of chemistry.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a range of undergraduate and graduate chemistry courses, including lectures, recitations, and laboratory sessions.
- Develop and update course curricula to reflect current advancements in chemistry.
- Conduct independent research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and present at conferences.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students in their academic and research pursuits.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work and program development.
- Contribute to grant writing and secure external funding for research projects.
- Maintain an active and visible presence within the scientific community.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching.

- Postdoctoral research experience.
- Experience in securing external research grants.
