Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Tesco as an Evening Shelf Replenisher in our City Centre, Sheffield store. This is a crucial role ensuring our shelves are fully stocked and impeccably presented for our customers, ready for the next day’s trade. You’ll be part of a friendly team, working evening shifts to ensure products are available, shelves are tidy, and the store is kept clean and safe. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, physically active, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently replenish shelves with new stock from the delivery areas.
- Ensure products are correctly faced up and displayed according to merchandising standards.
- Rotate stock to ensure older items are sold first, minimising waste.
- Check for damaged or expired products and remove them from sale.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, including aisles and stockrooms.
- Assist with moving stock and operating equipment safely (e.g., pallet trucks, cage movers) after appropriate training.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet store targets.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assist customers with basic queries or direct them to appropriate colleagues when necessary.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of store presentation.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures (training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Experience in customer service.
