Job Description

Join Hensel Phelps as an Entry-Level Site Marshall and become an integral part of our project safety team in Greeley, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about safety and looking to start a career in the construction industry. As a Site Marshall, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and supporting overall site operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to established safety procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety walks and inspections, identifying potential hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Assist in the implementation of the site-specific safety plan.
  • Support safety orientations for new workers and visitors, ensuring they understand site-specific rules.
  • Maintain clear and organized safety records, reports, and documentation.
  • Help manage traffic flow and pedestrian safety on active construction sites.
  • Report all safety incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Assist in the proper placement and maintenance of safety signage and barricades.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and safety professionals to address safety concerns.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proactive attitude towards safety and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and walk/stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Previous experience in a role requiring attention to detail or safety protocols.
  • Valid driver's license.
