Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative and enthusiastic Junior Video Editor to join our content creation team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be instrumental in producing engaging short-form video content, primarily for platforms like YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging short-form content (e.g., YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikToks) with quick turnaround times.
  • Implement motion graphics, text overlays, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Select and edit music, sound effects, and voice-overs to complement visual content.
  • Collaborate with content creators, producers, and marketing specialists to understand project requirements and creative vision.
  • Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Manage and organize video assets, maintaining an efficient workflow and archive.
  • Stay updated on current video trends, editing techniques, and social media platform changes to continuously improve content quality and performance.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
  • Basic understanding of motion graphics and visual effects principles.
  • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating ability to create engaging short-form video content.
  • Excellent sense of rhythm, timing, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate creative decisions and receive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics software.
