Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organised Part-time Salon Stock Controller to join our vibrant team in Nottingham. This pivotal organizational role ensures the smooth flow of stock for our salon services, maintaining optimal inventory levels, reducing waste, and supporting the overall efficiency of our salon operations. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing salon products and supplies, ensuring accuracy and availability at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for operational excellence within a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving, unpacking, and verification of all incoming salon stock against delivery notes.
  • Organise and maintain the stockroom, ensuring items are stored safely, tidily, and efficiently.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Process stock transfers and requisitions to ensure products are readily available for salon staff.
  • Identify and report slow-moving or expired stock, assisting with appropriate action.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the stockroom area.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using the company's inventory management system.
  • Collaborate with salon management to forecast stock needs and plan orders effectively.

Required Skills

  • Proven organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer literacy, including experience with inventory systems or willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move stock as required.

  • Previous experience in a stock control, retail, or warehouse environment.
