Job Description
Are you a master of Pinterest, with an innate eye for emerging fashion trends and a passion for boutique aesthetics? CJRW is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fashion Trend Scout to join our creative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying, analyzing, and reporting on the latest fashion trends primarily through intensive Pinterest research. Your insights will directly inform creative strategies for our diverse portfolio of boutique clients, helping them stay relevant and captivating in a fast-paced market. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who lives and breathes fashion, understands digital aesthetics, and wants to translate their passion into actionable intelligence for leading boutique brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily comprehensive research on Pinterest to identify emerging fashion trends, styles, colors, and key influencers relevant to boutique markets.
- Curate and categorize visual data, creating detailed mood boards, trend reports, and presentations for internal teams and clients.
- Analyze client brand identities and target audiences to provide tailored trend insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with creative directors, art directors, and account managers to integrate trend insights into campaign development.
- Monitor competitive landscapes and consumer behavior within the fashion industry, particularly for boutique segments.
- Present research findings and trend forecasts clearly and compellingly to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Stay current with broader fashion industry news, events, and cultural shifts that may impact trends.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise and advanced proficiency in using Pinterest for fashion trend scouting and research.
- Exceptional visual literacy and a keen eye for aesthetic details, style, and design.
- Strong understanding of current and historical fashion trends, with a particular focus on boutique and niche markets.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret visual data and identify patterns and emerging themes.
- Ability to organize, categorize, and present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in creating compelling visual presentations (e.g., Google Slides, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate trend insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Art History, or a related creative field.
- 1+ year of experience in fashion retail, visual merchandising, trend forecasting, or a related agency role.
- Familiarity with trend forecasting software or platforms beyond Pinterest.
- A portfolio demonstrating visual trend analysis, mood board creation, or fashion commentary.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced agency environment.
