Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for an immediate part-time job in a friendly, fast-paced environment? Fred Meyer in Pasco, WA is seeking enthusiastic and reliable High School Grocery Baggers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for local students to gain valuable work experience, develop customer service skills, and contribute to a welcoming shopping atmosphere. You’ll be an essential part of our front-end operations, ensuring customers have a smooth and pleasant checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Neatly and efficiently bag groceries for customers, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Assist customers with loading groceries into their vehicles when requested.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including bagging stations and aisles.
- Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and ensure their availability for customers.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, greeting customers with a positive attitude.
- Assist with other front-end duties as needed, under the direction of supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus, but not required.
