Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Member Service Representative with a strong focus on client retention to join our dedicated team in Omaha. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our valued members, providing exceptional service, resolving inquiries, and proactively engaging to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty. This position requires an individual who is passionate about building lasting relationships and understands the critical importance of retaining our client base through outstanding service delivery and effective problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound member calls, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing accurate information on products and services.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance member satisfaction and prevent attrition by understanding individual needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Educate members on the features and benefits of their policies and potential additional offerings that align with their goals.
- Document all member interactions accurately and thoroughly within our CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal departments to escalate and resolve complex member issues efficiently.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with product knowledge and service best practices.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or call center environment, with an emphasis on client retention.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong active listening and empathy skills to understand member needs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other customer service tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Previous experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with Mutual of Omaha products and services.
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate difficult situations and turn negative experiences into positive outcomes.
