Job Description
As a Cloud Security Specialist at Microsoft, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure and services from evolving cyber threats. This 100% remote role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring robust security measures across our Azure cloud environment. You will work with diverse teams to ensure compliance with security standards, develop incident response plans, and drive continuous improvement in our security posture. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and skilled security professional to contribute to the security of one of the world’s largest cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud security architectures and policies for Azure.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain incident response procedures for cloud security breaches.
- Monitor cloud security systems for alerts and anomalous activities.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security best practices and emerging threats.
- Participate in security reviews and audits of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure security services and tools.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) in a cloud context.
- Knowledge of network security, encryption, and data protection techniques.
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., AZ-500, CCSP, CISSP, CCSK).
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Experience with DevSecOps methodologies.
