Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for numbers and a passion for organization? Fidelity Investments is seeking a dedicated Remote Payroll Assistant – Office Admin to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to manage critical payroll functions and provide essential administrative support from the comfort of your home office. As a key member of our remote workforce, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, assist with employee inquiries, and contribute to the smooth operation of our administrative processes. Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for a large employee base, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Verify timesheet data, deductions, and other payroll-related information.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and administrative policies in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain meticulous payroll records and ensure data integrity.
- Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up payroll profiles and explaining relevant policies.
- Generate payroll reports for management and internal departments.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry, document management, and scheduling, as needed.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless information flow.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with payroll processing software (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG).
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
- Experience with remote team collaboration tools.
- Prior experience in a large corporate or financial services environment.
