Job Description
Commerce Bank is seeking an enthusiastic and creative High School Social Media Handler with a passion for local businesses to join our community engagement team. This part-time role is perfect for a student looking to gain practical experience in digital marketing, social media management, and local business promotion. You will be instrumental in supporting our initiatives that highlight and support local enterprises within the Overland Park area, helping to bridge the gap between our bank and the vibrant local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing social media content calendars specifically tailored for local business spotlights and community events.
- Create engaging posts, stories, and short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, featuring local businesses.
- Monitor social media channels for trends relevant to local businesses and community engagement.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive online community.
- Conduct research on local businesses, events, and community initiatives to identify content opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal marketing and community relations teams to align social media efforts with broader bank objectives.
- Contribute fresh ideas for content and campaigns to increase local business visibility and community participation.
- Track and report on social media performance metrics related to local business content.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Currently enrolled in high school or equivalent educational program.
