Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to patients.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry and insurance verification.
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and monitor medication expiration dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient questions and addressing concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate pharmacy systems and equipment accurately.
- Handle cash register transactions and manage patient co-payments.
- Adhere to all federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to pharmacy practice.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing, including compounding non-sterile products as required.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Pharmacy Technician License/Certification in Florida (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems (e.g., RxConnect)
- Experience with sterile or non-sterile compounding
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
