Job Description
As a Warehouse Expeditor at DHL Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in ensuring the swift and accurate flow of goods within our busy Doral warehouse. You will be responsible for coordinating and tracking shipments, resolving potential delays, and communicating effectively with various internal teams and external carriers to meet strict delivery schedules. This position is vital to maintaining our reputation for fast and reliable service, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely processing and dispatch.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to prioritize urgent orders.
- Communicate proactively with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and potential issues.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or delays in the shipping process, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of all expediting activities, including tracking information, delivery dates, and issue resolution.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software to manage logistics operations effectively.
- Assist in optimizing loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize dwell times.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
- Experience with specific logistics software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
