United Airlines Cargo in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Airport Logistics Hand for a High Security, High Pay position. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient movement of high-value and time-sensitive cargo through our Eugene hub. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from precise documentation to physical handling, all while adhering to stringent security protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo from aircraft and ground vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Verify cargo manifests, labels, and documentation for accuracy and compliance with security regulations.
• Operate forklifts, tugs, and other specialized airport equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough security checks and screenings of all incoming and outgoing cargo.
• Assemble and disassemble unit load devices (ULDs) according to established procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to all company, airport, and governmental security standards and procedures.
• Report any suspicious activities, anomalies, or security breaches immediately.
• Collaborate effectively with airline personnel, customs officials, and other airport stakeholders.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of special cargo, including dangerous goods (with proper certification).
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to maintain high security awareness and operational proficiency.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 lbs) frequently and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proven reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport security clearances (e.g., SIDA badge).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or airport ground handling.
• Forklift certification and experience operating other heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of cargo screening technologies and procedures.
• Experience with dangerous goods handling regulations (IATA DGR).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
