Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Amazon’s modern, air-conditioned fulfillment center in Newark, NJ. We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to contribute to our core operations. In this role, you will be responsible for handling products, from receiving and stowing to picking and packing, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming inventory from trucks and containers.
- Scan and sort packages to their designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick items from shelves based on customer orders using handheld scanners.
- Pack orders securely and accurately for shipment.
- Operate various equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Comfortable working with and around moving machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy for scanner operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
