Job Description
Are you a proactive and dedicated individual looking for a challenging yet rewarding role? SERVPRO of Hollywood, FL is seeking a motivated Water Damage Restoration Assistant to join our dynamic team. This essential role operates on an on-call roster, providing critical support during emergencies. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, are physically capable, and possess a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply. You will play a crucial part in mitigating damage and restoring properties, working closely with experienced technicians. Overtime opportunities are frequently available, especially during peak demand for our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls for water damage remediation.
- Perform water extraction and removal using specialized equipment.
- Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.).
- Assist with demolition and removal of damaged materials (e.g., drywall, flooring).
- Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent mold growth and further damage.
- Load and unload equipment and supplies from vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of an on-call roster.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field.
- IICRC WRT (Water Restoration Technician) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with customer service in a high-stress environment.
