Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting part-time opportunity to be part of the action at various events? Allied Universal is seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Weekend Event Security personnel. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the safety and security of guests, performers, and staff at stadiums, arenas, and other event venues. This position is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the flexibility to work primarily on weekends and evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor entry and exit points, checking tickets or credentials as required.
- Conduct bag checks and enforce venue policies to prevent prohibited items from entering.
- Patrol designated areas to observe and deter unauthorized activities.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and medical situations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting guests with directions and information.
- Collaborate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and best practices.
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally run for extended periods.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or event management.
- Valid security license or certification (e.g., Act 235 in Pennsylvania, or equivalent state certification, or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
