Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly energetic Wellness Screening Nurse to join our Corporate Events team. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional health and wellness services at various corporate events, health fairs, and community outreach programs throughout the Lehigh Valley area. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be proficient in conducting various health screenings with a focus on education and prevention. This position requires a proactive approach, the ability to work independently or as part of a small team, and a passion for promoting wellness in diverse settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, body mass index (BMI), and body fat analysis.
- Provide clear, concise, and encouraging health education and counseling to participants based on screening results.
- Operate and maintain screening equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper sterilization procedures.
- Accurately document all screening results and participant information, maintaining confidentiality.
- Set up and break down screening stations efficiently at various event locations.
- Engage with corporate clients and event attendees in a professional and friendly manner.
- Collaborate with the corporate wellness team to develop and implement engaging health programs.
- Adhere to all LVHN policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Travel to various corporate and community event sites within the Lehigh Valley region.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Proficiency in performing various health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, fingerstick, body composition).
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong patient education and counseling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High level of energy and enthusiasm for health promotion.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate wellness, community health, or public health.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish/English).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
