Job Description
We are seeking a welcoming and organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our valued patients and visitors at our Cedar Rapids location. This vital role involves managing the front desk operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for everyone who enters our facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a genuine desire to assist others. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls with efficiency and courtesy.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the appointment calendar.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and scanning documents.
- Manage patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Provide general information to patients and visitors regarding services and procedures.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or certification in medical office administration.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
